  • 01

There are things you can only see from where you collapsed

People do not collapse because it is hard; they collapse when they cannot attach a meaning to the hardship.

  • 02

It is not your fault that kind words don't land

Be strong. Think positive. Time heals. All three were written for someone moving forward.

  • 03

Not wanting to do anything is not laziness — it is conservation

Every resource is going into processing feeling. That is why, in this stretch, we make no big decisions.

  • 04

How to get across just today

We don't reckon the whole rest of your life with the strength you have now. We shrink the unit — a year, a month, a day, twenty minutes.

  • 05

How to live carrying a scene that will not go

Forgetting cannot be the goal. What changes is not the scene but how much room it takes up.

  • 06

When everyone else seems to be pulling ahead

I had not fallen behind in the same race — I was in a different event.

  • 07

The way out is not up but sideways

Recovery comes from structure, not resolve. You do not move because you feel better — you feel better because you moved.

STEP 01

The time you hold on

A 9-chapter e-book · a page-a-day workbook · 30 letters · 3 videos

A stretch where nothing improves and nothing worsens. Not recovery, but Holding onis what we cover. There is a method to holding on, too. This is the stretch where most people drop away, so we set it apart.

  • Chapter 1

Now is a time not to decide

New job, break-up, moving house, a contract. Judgement takes strength, and right now you have none. Putting it off is also a strategy.

  • Chapter 2

Feelings have a job to do

What anxiety, fear, anger and want each do. Not removing them — listening to what they say.

  • Chapter 3

    False feeling

You thought it was anger; it was fear. Lift the feeling on top and you see what's under it.

  • Chapter 4

    The place you stopped then

Something stops at the age when the big thing happened. How to find that spot and work with it.

  • Chapter 5

Reading it again — putting the same thing differently

You cannot change the fact, but you can decide where to put it. This chapter is the heart of the book.

  • Chapter 6

One principle for settling the mind

How to make tangled thinking simple. It is not that you think too much — it is unsorted.

  • Chapter 7

    Stamina of the mind

The strength to hold on is trained, not inborn. Seeing pain for what it is comes first.

  • Chapter 8

What the words you repeat do

How far self-suggestion works and where it stops. Written without exaggeration.

  • Chapter 9

    A letter for 30 days

One letter each morning for thirty days. Two minutes to read. A place that leaves one human voice inside a book you read alone.

STEP 02

The time to build again

8 video lectures · two 1:1 conversations · a values workbook

This is where reason, purpose and standard get rebuilt. Here you meet a person for the first time. Change the order and it collapses, so The order of the eight lectures is fixed.

  • Lecture 1

What am I living for, and why

A reason to live is not discovered but chosen again. It wasn't that there was none to choose — you had no strength to choose. We build that strength first.

  • Lecture 2

Who am I — finding the hidden belief

Identity is not character but the sentence you have repeated to yourself. We find when and where that sentence came in.

  • Lecture 3

Is what I think really mine

The unconscious, built from suggestion and experience. And how to check whether you really know what you know.

  • Lecture 4

To get past the limits of your character

How character affects recovery. Sorting what must change from what can be left alone.

  • Lecture 5

Seeing pain for what it is

Enduring and bearing are not the same. Training that actually raises the mind's stamina.

  • Lecture 6

    A plane with no destination

What goes wrong in the mind without a goal, and how to set goals and habits that hold. A purpose need not be large — it must fit in today's hand.

  • Lecture 7

How to hold on to yourself among people

Relationships during recovery are not like usual. We decide what to say and what to leave unsaid.

  • Lecture 8

Memento mori — remember you will die

What people regret just before they die. And finding who you really are. Because I began in this place, I end in this place.

STEP 03

The time we walk together

Six months alongside you · eight 1:1s · reading your record together each month

Recovery does not finish in one go. There is always a place where it goes back. The stretch after the lectures end is the risky one, so we set aside six months to walk it together.

  • 01

Eight 1:1 conversations · six months

About once every three weeks. Not when it improves, but When you waver This space is here for you to use.

  • 02

Reading your records together once a month

There are things you cannot see alone. Together we find what repeats just before it worsens.

  • 03

Priority contact when it gets bad

It does not have to be the appointed day. This is not treatment, though — in an emergency, 109 comes first.

  • 04

The community stays open after you finish

You stay where the people who passed through the same place are.

How the lectures are made

25 minutes a lecture · we do not follow an outline

We took twenty-one hours of success-psychology lectures and the form alone and pulled it apart. What stood out most was this — across twenty-one hours, phrases like "today we will / next up / to sum up / homework" lecture-style signposts barely pass ten. instead "because" fifty-eight times, "for example" thirty-eight, "question" twenty-eightit was.

Lectures that work do not march through an outline. It sets one claim down and digs at it with cases and counter-questions. Revival Ground rests on one claim — Some things are only visible from where you broke. Eight lectures tell different stories but arrive at the same place.

The length, though, we do not copy. Theirs is offline and in person, so one lecture runs sixty to eighty minutes. Nobody watching alone on a screen gets through that. So Revival Ground twenty-five minutes a lecture— eight of twenty-five minutes go further than one of sixty. Instead, each lecture carries Just one thing this weekso it carries through to the next week.

And the density that came from being in the room we make up another way — the place where a person in front of you was handled becomes Two 1:1 conversationswith, the rhythm of meeting in the same room each week with A letter for 30 dayswith, and the questions from the break with Communitywith.

Where these contents came from

There was a draft written in 2022

These contents were not invented for this page. In November 2022, while I was being consulted, I wrote 〈Mind Powerful〉 — draft of the three-week curriculumexisted. At the time it was planned as a mind course for members with atopic skin.

That draft's skeleton is Revival Ground today. Week 1's "What am I living for, and why", of week 2 Understanding feelings, and reading them again, of week 3 The Endure Index and memento mori. Three years on I took it out again, and what I had really wanted to say then was not about atopic skin but Collapsing, then standing againit was.

So I renamed it Revival Ground, widened who it was for, and rebuilt the order. Only the last lecture I left exactly as it was — Memento mori. Because that is where I started walking this road.

Please read this before you start

Revival Ground is lectures and writing. It is not treatment, counselling or diagnosis. If you can barely bear it right now, a person comes before writing — Suicide prevention lifeline 109is free and open 24 hours, by phone or text. What you say does not leave the room. Atovia is not a medical institution, and this course does not stand in for medical diagnosis or treatment.

Read the seven pieces first (free) Read it, and if it isn't for you, just leave. We won't hold on to you.

The e-book and the video lectures open in sequence. Those who have signed up hear each stage's opening date first. The contents may be refined as we build, and any change is reflected on this page as it is — we do not quietly cut things after selling.
